Sans surprise, les personnages masculins, le marié en tête, sont unidimensionnels, d'une fadeur rarement égalée et plombent - si c'est possible - encore plus le film. Mais la plus grande déception vient des personnages féminins, et on est amenés à s'interroger sur les motivations de Kristen Bell, toujours sur la pente ascendante, et de Sigourney Weaver, dont la filmographie recèle nombre de trésors, pour participer à ce désastre. En dépit d'une écriture à la truelle, Kristen Bell est la seule à parvenir à rendre son personnage un tant soit peu attachant, et encore... Passer d'un personnage riche, subtil et complexe comme Veronica Mars à une telle caricature... Jamie Lee Curtis n'a probablement jamais incarné un personnage aussi inexistant et pathétique (ah, la chorégraphie des pom-pom girls... ).
