It haunts me even after 45 days of watching it for the first time. I just can't stop thinking abt Mahanati. The main reasons for my attachment to this movie are: 1. Savitri garu's personality - she was kind, had self-respect but was gullible. I misunderstood her choice to marry an already married person but the movie changed my perception. 2. Astounding performance from Keerthy Suresh and all the characters - Breathtaking performance by Keerthy in the scene when Savitri garu realizes that Gemini is cheating on her. Her beasty yells out of shock on two occasions will resound in our minds. Lot more scenes where the performances are simply superb. 3. Extraordinary direction, writing and camera work - The enigmatic love story of Savitri-Gemini Ganesan is so convincingly put forward. The lengthy shots, mirror shots, camera angles, lighting, dialogues, music, colorful clothes; everything conveys it's own sense.
